Wreck Sends Woman to Columbus Hospital

COLUMBUS, Miss. (WCBI) – A one vehicle accident sends a woman to the hospital.

Around 2  p.m. Monday, police responded to a one car wreck on Shamrock Road in Columbus.

Witnesses say the driver of the maroon Toyota Avalon was trying to avoid hitting another car.

She ended up in a nearby yard hitting a mail box before hitting a small tree.

She was taken by ambulance to Baptist Memorial Golden Triangle for non-life threatening injuries.

The Columbus Police Department is still investigating.
