Woman who stabbed fiance pleads guilty

LOWNDES COUNTY, Miss. (WCBI) – The woman that stabbed her future husband on Valentine’s Day is going to prison.

Charity Harkins pleaded guilty to Aggravated Assault this week.

She will be sentenced April 23.

The attack happened early Valentine’s Day in 2018.

Lowndes County deputies were called to a home on Highway 69 and found blood throughout the house.

A short time later, deputies heard Barry Furguson calling out to them.

He had a cut to the abdomen.

Harkins has been arrested at least three times on domestic related incidents.
