Woman Hit By SUV Sunday Night

OKTIBBEHA COUNTY (MHP RELEASE) – MHP responded to a crash involving a pedestrian on US 82 east bound near Camps Airport Road around 10:20 PM Sunday evening. A 2000 Ford Explorer driven by 31 year old Zachary Triplett of Starkville was traveling east when he collided with a pedestrian standing in the east bound lanes of traffic. The pedestrian who was pronounced dead on the scene by the Oktibbeha County Coroner was identified as 47 year old Deborah Moore of Columbus. Mr. Triplett was not injured in the crash.

This accident remains under investigation by MHP.
