Woman Dies In Friday Afternoon Crash

MARION COUNTY, Ala. (WCBI)- A Hamilton, Alabama woman is dead after her car collided with an oncoming vehicle.

81-year-old  Lila Luke Clingan of Hamilton was a passenger in the 1995 Nissan Altima that collided with a 2010 Jeep driven by 52-year-old Kevin Beeson, of Raleigh, North Carolina.

The crash occurred on Interstate 22, near the eight mile marker, one mile west of Hamilton.

Clingan, who was not using a seat belt, was transported to North Mississippi Medical Center in Hamilton where she was pronounced dead.
