Woman Charged With Child Abuse

LOWNDES COUNTY, Miss. (WCBI) — A Lowndes County woman is charged with beating two children.

Lowndes County detectives say 30-year-old Kaleshia Colister is charged with two counts of child abuse after New Hope school administrators reported possible abuse. Investigators found injuries that indicated excessive force and had the children treated at Baptist Golden Triangle Hospital.

Her bond is set at $15,000.
