Woman Arrested On Child Abuse Charge

CALEDONIA, Miss. (WCBI) – A Lowndes County woman is facing child abuse charges.

Lowndes County Investigators along with Caledonia Town Marshalls arrested 37 year-old Jennifer Kellum on Friday, October 27.

Caledonia Marshalls were called to South Street to check out a possible child abuse case.

Investigators say when they showed up, they found Kellum and say she was extremely intoxicated.

After speaking with the minor involved, Kellum was taken into custody.

Mississippi Department of Human Services is now involved in the case.
