Woman accused of scamming multiple banks in Northeast Mississippi
BOONEVILLE, Miss. (WCBI) – A woman accused of being involved in a check fraud ring has been arrested.
Diamond Shaunell Johnson, 19, of Saltillo was accused of entering a Booneville bank in August and attempting to cash two counterfeit checks.
She was charged with two counts of Felony False Pretense.
Booneville PD said during their investigation they discovered Johnson was actually from Detroit, Michigan and had been scamming multiple banks throughout Northeast Mississippi.
Lee County also has a case against Johnson. She has been extradited to Lee County Jail where she is currently being held.
Her bond was set at $10,000 in Booneville.
