Video: Witnesses: One Person Shot in East Columbus

COLUMBUS, Miss. (WCBI) — Columbus police are investigating a shooting that sent a man to the hospital.

It happened shortly before 8 p.m., Thursday, on Spruce Street.

Witnesses on the scene tell WCBI the victim was shot in the back.

He was reportedly taken to Baptist Memorial Hospital-Golden Triangle by private vehicle.
