WINSTON COUNTY, Miss. (WCBI) – Winston County investigators release the name of a suspect from a weekend shooting.

Lance Earnest, 31, is accused of shooting a security guard at the Spotlight Lounge early Sunday morning.

A concert was being held at the location at the time of the shooting.

Security workers were trying to get an argument under control when at least one shot was fired from a handgun.

Chief Investigator Connie Hampton says Earnest had a beard at the time of the shooting but may no longer have the beard.

Earnest is from Philadelphia but also has ties to Jackson.

The unidentified security guard continues to recover from his gunshot wound.
