Winston County Woman Accused Of Disaster Fraud

OXFORD, MS (WCBI)- While recovery continues in Winston County one Louisville resident is accused of trying to profit from the storm.
34 year old Kourtnee Triplett is accused of filing a false claim with FEMA in an effort to collect federal disaster relief money.  According to the federal indictment, Triplett claimed that she lived in an apartment building on Beal Avenue which was destroyed by the tornado.  A follow up investigation determined the apartment destroyed was not her primary home.  If convicted she could be sent to prison for thirty years and fined a quarter million dollars along with paying back any disaster relief money she received.  She is set to be arraigned  on the fraud charge Wednesday
