Winston County fire kills 22,000 chickens

WINSTON COUNTY, Miss. (WCBI) – A chicken house fire killed about 22,000 birds Tuesday in Winston County.

The blaze happened at a farm, near the intersection of Boon and Garrigues Roads.

Several fire departments responded to the call but the building was destroyed.

Winston County Fire Coordinator Jody Garrad said the cause of the fire is still unknown.

No injuries were reported.
