Video: Winston County Celebrates Community Thanksgiving

LOUISVILLE, Miss. (WCBI) — Last year Louisville and Winston County residents were still shell shocked on Thanksgiving as the effects of the April tornado still took a toll.  Thursday, a renewed sense of peace and recovery dominated the annual county wide luncheon.

Smiles dominated the day as the community gathered to celebrate Thanksgiving .

More than 1,000 people gathered on site or had meals delivered to their door.

Organizers say it is great to see optimism replace uncertainty this year.

Volunteers from across the area helped put together this years event including students from Eiland Middle schools Junior Beta Club
