Winona Native Is Ole Miss Alum President
OXFORD, Miss. – The University of Mississippi Alumni Association has announced its officers for 2012-13. The introduction came during the recent Homecoming festivities on campus.
Larry Bryan of Memphis was named president, a one-year term that changes each Homecoming. A Winona native, Bryan is the founder and director of Diversified Trust Co., a comprehensive wealth management firm with offices in Memphis, Nashville, Atlanta and Greensboro, N.C.
“I am thankful for the opportunity to serve as the 2012-13 president,” Bryan said. “It is exciting to see such positive momentum on many fronts at Ole Miss. The opportunities to continue that momentum are many, and I encourage everyone to jump on board.”

Bryan earned his Bachelor of Business Administration in Accountancy in 1974 from the university. He serves as chairman of the board of the LeBonheur Children’s Hospital Foundation and also serves on the boards of directors of Bridges Inc., the Community Foundation of Greater Memphis and the University of Mississippi Foundation.
He is married to the former Susan Marsh and they have two sons, Austin and Spencer, and one grandchild.
Outgoing president Richard Noble of Indianola said his term was both challenging and rewarding.
“I can’t tell you how great this year has been as alumni association president,” Noble said. “I am glad I was in this place at this time.”
Jimmy Brown of Grenada was selected as president-elect. Brown oversees banking operations in north Mississippi for Regions Financial Corp. Trentice Imbler, a veteran State Farm Insurance agent in Tupelo, was elected vice president.
Athletics Committee members include T. Michael Glenn of Memphis and Kimsey Cooper of Carthage. Glenn, executive vice president of market development and corporate communications for FedEx Corp., co-chaired the search committee for a new head football coach and athletics director with Archie Manning. Cooper is a district pharmacy supervisor for CVS.
