Winona Loses Only Grocery Store to Fire

WINONA, Miss. (WCBI) -An early evening blaze destroys Winona’s only full service grocery store.

Fire Departments from Montgomery and Grenada Counties responded to a fire call at the Super Value Grocery store on Highway 51 Monday night.

Everyone in the building escaped unharmed, but some firefighters were overcome by the heat, and had to be treated at the scene.

The building is likely a total loss. The fire is under investigation..
