White Named Cochran’s State Director

WASHINGTON, D.C. – U.S. Senator Thad Cochran (R-Miss.) today named Bradley R. White to lead his field office operations, which will include responsibilities for the Jackson field office’s constituent outreach and services.

White, a native of Simpson County, will begin duties as state office director on June 1, replacing long-time Cochran aide Brad Davis, who is joining the private sector.

“My field offices do very good work helping Mississippians, and Brad White will be taking on important responsibilities for my offices throughout the state, including leading our efforts in Mississippi’s most populous and diverse regions.  I think his work record will serve him well in this capacity,” Cochran said.

White is currently the Deputy State Auditor and Chief of Staff for the Mississippi Department of Audit, a position he has held since September 2013.  He has previously held positions with the Mississippi Public Service Commission, Mississippi Department of Transportation, Simpson County Development Foundation and the Mississippi Republican Party.  White, who now lives in Madison, has a Bachelor of Science degree in business management from Belhaven University.

Davis, a native of Ripley, is joining the law firm of Jones Walker LLP in Jackson as a Special Counsel in the Business and Commercial Transactions Practice Group.  This career move follows more than 15 years of service with Cochran, beginning as an intern in 2000 to being named a legislative assistant and counsel in Cochran’s Washington office (2005-2008) to serving as the Senator’s state office director in Jackson since 2008.  Davis left his Senate position briefly in 2014 to serve as the general election campaign manager for the Senator.  Davis has undergraduate and law degrees from the University of Mississippi.
