West Point Police Make Drug Bust

WEST POINT, Miss. October 3, 2016: A Monday afternoon traffic stop yielded a significant amount of drugs that was confiscated by the West Point Police Department.

West Point Police say 34 year old Riley Rhea Thompson was taken into to custody following at stop for a traffic violation in the city. His last known address was 515 South Eshman Ave., West Point.

Mr. Thompson has been charged with Possession of a controlled substance, Possession of Marijuana in a motor vehicle and running a stop sign. He is currently being held in the Clay County Detention Center under a $25,000.00 bond. A large cache of crystal meth along with a small amount of marijuana, pills and cash were seized by officers.
