West Point investigators asking for community’s help in homicide investigation

WEST POINT, Miss. (WCBI) – West Point investigators need the help of the community.

They continue to search for leads in the shooting death of Jamel Banks, Sr. It happened nearly one month ago. It was just about six in the evening.

Banks was gunned down on Lowe Street, outside his mother’s home.

Police Chief Avery Cook said he hopes someone will come forward with information.

The chief reminds people that a call to Crimestoppers is anonymous – and can result in a reward if the information leads to an arrest.
