WEST POINT, Miss. (WCBI) – Murder charges are pending for three women involved in the weekend stabbing death of a Hamilton man at a West Point business.
People in West Point living in the area of Stop One Deli at the corner of Bugg and Division Streets are once again dealing with a violent death.
This time, investigators believe that as 27 year old Marcus Payne left the convenience store, he was confronted by 24 year old Natisha Roby, 27 year old Latwanna Roby, both of Macon, and 22 year old Shunbrica Roby of Columbus.
West Point resident Larry Westbrook says, “And everybody got their own way of acting out. But it just, its uncalled for, its uncalled for.”
Police Chief Tim Brinkley says, “It seems to be that we’re having, we are seeing more and more females engaging in these acts of violence. And its sort of unusual that three females would attack, will attack somebody.”
The victim was stabbed at least once in the chest.
Chief Brinkley adds, “It appears to be a kitchen knife. And it was recovered at the scene.”
The women are all believed to be related to each other.
Larry Westbrook says, ” Young people, they are hurting one another and its just uncalled for.”
Tim Brinkley concludes, “Lets just say that all three were actively involved in the assault and the stabbing.”
The investigation continues.
No word on bonds for the Robys.
