Webster Sheriff says he will retire from post

EUPORA ( WCBI) – Webster County Sheriff Tim Mitchell will leave his job in January.  Mitchell resigned in late November but had hopes he could rescind that letter and continue to serve.   Mitchell told WCBI Thursday his doctors are suggesting he step down and focus on treatment for undisclosed health reasons.

Webster County supervisors will now have to appoint a replacement to fill out his term
