Webster County Gun And Meth Bust Lands An Arrest

WEBSTER COUNTY, Miss. (WCBI) – A convicted felon, out on probation, lands himself back behind bars.

Dennis Lucas was arrested Tuesday morning by the Webster County Sheriff’s Department.

Deputies say they went to help the Mississippi Department of Corrections on a house visit at Lucas’ home.

Webster County Investigator Landon Griffin says that’s when around they found around 15 guns inside the home; including rifles, an AR-15 and a pistol.

Over a gram of meth was also found in Lucas’ vehicle.

Griffin says Lucas is currently in custody at the Webster County Sheriff’s Department.

He is facing several charges including Possesion of Meth and several counts of Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon.
