Webster County Drug Bust
***Press release from Webster County Sheriff Tim Mitchell***
“Today (Thursday) Webster County Sheriff’s Dept. working in a partnership with Mississippi Bureau of Narcotics served a search warrant.
The warrant was for the home located at 14 Pat Ave Eupora. When officers first approached the home one subject fled the home on foot, but was apprehended by officers soon after.
During the search aprox. $1000.00. worth of crack cocaine was located along with an undetermined amount of money, drug paraphernalia and two pistols.
Lonnie Johnson was arrested and charged with possession of cocaine with the intent to distribute, and the money and pistols were seized.
Lonnie Johnson was also found to be wanted for Aggravated Burglary in Pike County, along with misdemeanor warrants out of Georgia. At this time no bond has been set for Mr. Johnson.
Sheriff Mitchell stated that he is working hard to clean up the drugs from our county, and wanted to thank the community for all the support they have shown. Sheriff Mitchell also wanted to thank Eupora Police Department for their help in the apprehension of Mr. Johnson.”
