WCBI-TV Brings Home AP Awards

NEW ORLEANS, Louisiana (WCBI) – The 2018 Louisiana and Mississippi AP Broadcasters and Media Editors Awards took place in New Orleans over the weekend.

WCBI was nominated for awards in several different categories.

The WCBI Sports Department won first place in the 2017 Sportscast category for WCBI’s EndZone program.

The top award was presented to our Tom Eble and Robby Donoho.

Legendary WCBI anchor, Bill Gamel, was inducted into the 2017 Mississippi Broadcasters Hall of Fame.

The WCBI Weather Department won second place in this year’s Weathercast category, which was presented to WCBI’s Chief Meteorologist Keith Gibson.

WCBI anchor, Aundrea Self, won second place for News Anchor of the year and reporter, Quentin Smith, won second in the 2017 Multimedia Story Category.
