Columbus Water Tower Set For New Paint Job
COLUMBUS, Miss. (WCBI) – A Columbus landmark is getting a big face-lift.
The giant water tower at Second and College Streets is getting a new paint job.
Columbus Light and Water General Manager, Todd Gale, says workers are stripping the paint all the way down to the primer.
The new coat of paint is expected to last 15 years, with a $650,000 price tag.
Netting has been placed around the water tower to keep paint chips away from area homes.
The water tower was last painted in 2007.
