A Warm End to the Weekend
SATURDAY NIGHT: The weather will be fairly quiet with a few clouds around, though it will be very muggy. Temperatures will drop into the low to mid 70s.
SUNDAY: Expect a mix of sun and clouds for the afternoon with temperatures climbing into the mid 90s. Heat indices will likely be back into the low 100s as well. A stray shower or storm is possible, but most areas will stay dry.
MONDAY: There will be plenty of sunshine with a few puffy cumulus clouds developing for the afternoon. Temperatures will once again climb into the mid 90s. Someone may see a stray shower, but most should be in good position to view the solar eclipse. The peak eclipse will occur just before 1:30 pm for our area. Make sure to tune into North Mississippi CW 4 at 1:00 pm for our live coverage of the eclipse.
TUESDAY: Warm and humid weather stays put but we’ll have a slightly better chance for a few scattered showers and storms. Plan on highs in the low to mid 90s.
WEDNESDAY: A cold front is going to spark a few more showers and storms during the day Rain chances increase to 40%. Highs stay in the low 90s.
