Volunteer firefighters battle barn blaze in Oktibbeha County

STARKVILLE, Miss. (WCBI) – Volunteer firefighters in Oktibbeha County battled a blaze at a barn Friday morning.

Fire and rescue from the district five station responded to the fire on Spruill Road around 8:30 a.m.

Fire coordinator Kirk Rosenhan said they quickly had the flames under control.

The barn was in the middle of a field and had a car, tractor, and other equipment in it.

Rosenhan said it was not clear who owned the barn. No injuries were reported.
