COLUMBUS, Miss. (WCBI) – When talk of a Cracker Barrel coming to Columbus surfaced earlier this month The phrase I’ll believe it when I see it was murmured more than once. Well it might be time to start believing. Dirt work is underway at the restaurant site near the intersection of 18th avenue and sixth street north. The Planning department issued the permits earlier this week and construction of the approximately 10 thousand square foot building started. Cracker Barrel hopes to be open by the Fall When it does approximately 200 jobs will be created.
