Video: Winston County Honors Vietnam Veterans

LOUISVILLE, Miss. (WCBI) -This year marks the 50th anniversary of the Vietnam War.

Thursday, the Nanih Waiya chapter of the Daughters of the American revolution hosted a reception, honoring local Vietnam vets at the Fellowship Hall at First United Methodist Church in Louisville. Twenty veterans and their loved ones atteneded.

Chapter members say they look forward to honoring local veterans again next year.

“We hope that we will have even more veterans in the future to come. We are going to have some other events this year and next and we hope more and more will come and join us.”

Organizers say while refreshments were served, relationships were renewed.
