WEST POINT, Miss. (WCBI) — A budding star in basketball is getting a chance to showcase her skills in junior college.

West Point High School senior Qiayon Bailey made it official on Friday as she signed her letter of intent to play basketball with the Meridian Community College Eagles following graduation.

Bailey was a force during her senior season with the Green Wave as she took over the point guard duties.

She averaged over 30 points per game for West Point in her last year playing for the Greenies.
