Video: Lowndes County Students Learn the Art of the Interview

LOWNDES COUNTY, Miss. (WCBI) -Practice makes perfect. Students from West Lowndes and New Hope High Schools participated in an “Interview Day” this morning.

20 businesses and industries set up booths to give the students practice interviewing with potential employers.

During the session, the professionals also gave them advice on appropriate attire and etiquette during a job interview.

” Thing that unfortunately get overlooked when these kids are coming up through high school and going out into the working world is interaction with potential employers. Being set across from a total stranger and answer questions that they aren’t used to answering. Things they’re not normally comfortable answering and learning how that process works.”

The interview day is held each year.
