Video: Webster County Inmate Escapes

WEBSTER COUNTY, Miss. (WCBI) – K9 Units from Parchman and Chickasaw County have been brought in to help capture an inmate who escaped the Webster County Jail Wednesday (1/3) night.
Those K-9 Dogs hot on the trail of that escapee could be seen early Thursday morning in Eupora.
An active search is underway for 26 year old Marlin Davis Randle.
The Eupora resident stands five foot ten and weighs 145 pounds, with light brown hair and green eyes.
“He was out taking a shower and he assaulted my jailer, and went out the bathroom window,” said Sheriff Tim Mitchell.
According to Mitchell, Randle has been spotted, but has been successful so far in eluding police all through the night and Thursday morning.
The investigation is on going, and Mitchell did not mention how severe an attack was on a female jailer.
“He was in here on burglary charges. He has never assaulted anybody. He has never given anybody any trouble, till last night,” said Mitchell.
In light of the recent escape, charges on the inmate is now upgraded.
“He is facing assault on a police officer and plus escape charges too,” added Mitchell.
Randle who is considered dangerous, was last seen wearing bright orange jump suit pants and a brown shirt.
