Video: WalMart Opens to Enthusiastic Crowds in Derma

DERMA, Miss. (WCBI) – New jobs and new tax revenue are coming to the city of Derma thanks to its new Walmart Neighborhood Market. People came out this morning to see what the new store would be like. The new concept includes gas pumps , groceries and a pharmacy.

“We are very excited to be here in Derma, Mississippi putting our new Walmart Neighborhood Market in and we’ve worked hard for the last two and half weeks to get this thing set up and ready, and being able to bring Walmart low prices to Derma, Mississippi in Calhoun County.”

“Small towns are a lot of times lacking in things that you need and so any time we get something like this and another place for us to get the items that we need it’s always a great thing.”

The new Walmart Neighborhood Market will be open from 7am to 10pm seven days a week.
