Video: Vehicles Overturned on Highway 25 In Monroe County
MONROE COUNTY, Miss. (WCBI) – We’ve had crews out throughout the area tonight covering storm damage.
One of those areas includes south of Monroe County.
“We’re here in Monroe County on Highway 25 near Homestead Road, where many vehicles were blown off of the road earlier, including this UPS truck that’s sitting behind me.”
“We’re just lucky. I mean, you know, we had some roof damages to some barns and different things, and like I say, trees and some 18-wheeler beds and things that were actually tilted over, or near tilted over, and we’re really lucky that nobody was hurt here tonight, you know, it could be the other way,” says Monroe County Sheriff Cecil Cantrell.
“Besides the roof that was blown off of the barn behind me, there’s been no other structural damage in the area. In Monroe County, Jory Tally, WCBI News.”
Sheriff Cantrell wants to remind everyone to be careful driving while out on the roads.
