Video: U.S. Chamber of Commerce Honors Senator Roger Wicker

TUPELO, Miss. (WCBI) – Senator Roger Wicker was in North Mississippi today to receive a prestigious honor. He was recognized by the U S Chamber of Commerce for supporting business and free enterprise.

Senator Roger Wicker received the “Spirit of Enterprise” award from the U.S. Chamber of Commerce.

Senator Wicker was chosen for his pro business voting record during the second session of the 113th Congress.

The award is given to lawmakers who vote for pro business legislation at least 70% of the time.

“We don’t give the award to just anyone, we do poll the business community across the country,our members, find out which issues matter most to them and then we pick certain votes we feel are most important to the business community , and then as members they vote yes or no with the business community , we then rank them and score them.”

More than 200 House members and more than 50 senators received the honor from the U S Chamber of Commerce.
