TUPELO, Miss. (WCBI) – It is one of the premier hospice facilities in Mississippi. Now the Tupelo-based Sanctuary Hospice House will be able to take care of 8 additional patients at one time thanks to the completion of its third 8-bed wing. At today’s open house, visitors got to see the private rooms which are fully equipped. Administrator Linda Gholston says the million dollar addition was made possible because of generous members of the community who paid for the individual rooms including the furnishings. The original 8-room facility opened in November of 2005 and the first 8-room addition followed in February of 2006. Gholston says the new wing will mean they can care for 200-to 250 additional patients every year.
