Tupelo, Miss. (WCBI) — A group of local youth are putting their time for spring break towards helping other’s throughout their community. Around 20 youth gathered at a home in Tupelo to do some much needed yard work for the elderly. They worked hard all day, bagging more than 50 bags of leaves and pine needles.
Youth pastor, Chris O’Daniel, says he is thankful to see the teens putting their time towards helping others:
“They could be doing a lot of different things, vacation, they could be sitting at home playing video games, whatever, but they’re out here volunteering and doing these things, as the Bible says, as unto the Lord, so it’s really an encouragement.”
West Jackson Street Baptist youth do a local mission project every spring break.
