TUPELO, Miss. (WCBI) — Students at one Tupelo school were able to learn about endangered species and get some hands on time with unique animals. It was all part of the Mississippi Museum of Natural Science’s “Go Wild” program. That traveling exhibit brings a bit of the museum to school age children. This morning, students at Tupelo’s Early Childhood Education Center were able to learn about a number of animals that can be found in Northeast Mississippi. They also saw several live turtles, and even an alligator.
“Hopefully they take away with them a love for wildlife and for learning more about the outdoors, and a respect for the outdoors.”
ECEC students have been learning all about wildlife this semester.
