Video: Tupelo Residents Give Thanks at Community Service

TUPELO, Miss. (WCBI) – Tupelo residents came together at the Link Centre Thursday evening for the Community Thanksgiving service, which featured pastors from several denominations, the children of El Centro Learning Center and other guests.

This is the first year the service was organized by the Mayor’s Outreach Task Force as a way of bringing people of different walks of life together.

“We’ve tried to do that here tonight with our community wide Thanksgiving service. While we may be of different backgrounds, we may look different, we may talk different, we all worship God.”

Thursday’s service was the first time in several years that the event was held during the evening.
