TUPELO, Miss. (WCBI) – Residents of one Tupelo community decided it was time to clean up a major thoroughfare in their neighborhood.
Members of the Lee Acres Neighborhood Association gathered on Garfield Street to clean up some of the debris on the street.
They say this section of Garfield Street is important because it is so close to North Mississippi Medical Center, which is the largest non-metropolitan hospital in the country.
They believe all residents of the city need to keep their neighborhoods and homes looking good so out of town visitors will have a good impression of the city.
