Video: Tupelo Middle School Receives Donation from Department of transportation

TUPELO, Miss. (WCBI) – A grant will continue a Mississippi Department of Transportation safety education program at Tupelo Middle School.

Students have lessons, activities and videos incorporated into classroom for the program. This afternoon, $3,000.00 in grant money was given to the school.

“The reason we joined the program, Tupelo Middle School has a long history of partnerships with Mississippi Department of Transportation, through our bridge building competitions, all trac and rides instruction I think Tupelo Middle School felt it was a continuation of what MDOT does not only for our state but also for our school system.”

Next school year, the safety program will be integrated into science and art programs at TMS.
