Video: Tupelo Elvis Fan Club Holds Annual Christmas Party And Helps The Community

TUPELO, MISS. (WCBI) – Local Elvis Tribute Artist Jack Curtis entertainedthe crowd at the Tupelo Elvis Fan Club Christmas Party.

The Fan Club held its annual Christmas Party at the Link Centre, it featured food, entertainment, Santa, and a recap of various groups the club has donated money to in the past year.

One of the benefactors is the Tupelo Aquatic Center.
“Elvis’ goal, one of the things he wanted to do was support the youth of Tupelo. One of his specific missions or plans was to support the kids of East Tupelo and have a public pool for them to enjoy, as a kid he played on the creek banks growing up and so he wanted something a little more enjoyable for the kids,” said Keith Henley, president of the Tupelo Elvis Fan Club.

The Tupelo Elvis Fan Club has committed 130 thousand dollars to the Aquatic Center over a ten year period. The Fan Club also is the primary sponsor of the “Dancing With the King” scholarship event.
