Video: Traffic Stop Nets Large Amount of Cash

ABERDEEN, Miss. (WCBI) – Sheriff Cecil Cantrell says his deputies are following the money after seizing more than $37,000.00.

Cantrell says two men going about 90 miles an hour when deputies pulled them over this weekend near the intersection of Highway 45 and Chapel Grove Road.

Cantrell says the unidentified men were on their way to Memphis.

He believes this stop is related to a large scale drug trafficking operation in Monroe County.

Both men have been released and the investigation into the money continues.
