VIDEO: Teen Becomes First in the State to Win National Scholarship

COLUMBUS, Miss. (WCBI)- One Mississippi teen is being sent off to college with more change in her pocket thanks to a national busing company.

University of Mississippi freshman, Alexis Frasher, is the first in the state to be awarded a 14 hundred dollar scholarship from IC Bus.

Each year IC Bus dealer employees and their families have a chance to win this academic scholarship to help further their education.

The company has 44 dealerships across the country and the the scholarship program is very competitive.

Frasher says she’s honored to be the first to be awarded in Mississippi.
