Video: Tales From The Crypt Prepares for 27th Season on Columbus Pilgrimage

COLUMBUS, Miss. (WCBI) –Students from the Mississippi School for Mathematics and Science put the final touches on a Columbus Pilgrimage tradition.

For the past 27 years MSMS History students have been entertaining and informing visitors about some of the city’s more famous former residents.

Each performer chooses someone buried at Friendship Cemetery, researches their life, and tells their story.

Many of the participants find themselves getting to know their subjects as real people.

“I would always come to Tales From the Crypt to see the different performances throughout the years and it always looked a lot of fun and it was really cool to see the performers and their re-enactments of the people buried here.”

“It’s really an opportunity for the students at MSMS to help serve their community by being able to do a project like this and really bring the dead back to life for a night.”

The Tales From the Crypt tours begin Friday at 6PM
