VIDEO: Talent Show Troubles

COLUMBUS, Miss. (WCBI)- Some talent show troubles this weekend.

A Columbus man named Justin Lee signed up contestants across Northeast Mississippi to take part in a talent show set for today.

Lee promised a record contract with a Nashville record company called Gemini Records.

It appears Gemini Records, in Nashville, doesn’t exist and the talent contest seems doomed as well…

Some “contestants” showed up at the Trotter Saturday to be greeted by a sign saying the contest was cancelled.

Others went to the Columbus fairgrounds- after they were told the competition was moved to that location.

A handwritten sign at the Fairgrounds said the contest had been delayed until next weekend.

A social media post by Lee Saturday afternoon says the competition and a dance party set for Saturday night are postponed because of illness.

Lee claims he will contact everyone who signed up for the singing contest by phone or email with more information about the competition.
