Video: Sumlin: Pellerin Trusted “In Critical Areas”

WATCH: The Ole Miss Rebels will look to keep its bowl hopes alive with a big game in College Station against #8 Texas A&M.

These teams will look totally different than when the season began, as injuries have reshaped both starting rosters, especially at quarterback position with season ending injuries to Trevor Knight and Chad Kelly.

Aggies head coach Kevin Sumlin said the team is aware of the Rebels’ quarterback situation involving Jason Pellerin and redshirt Shea Patterson.

Sumlin compared the presumed starter Jason Pellerin Mississippi State quarterback Nick Fitzgerald, who gave the Aggies fits in the upset loss to the Bulldogs.

“What you see from Pellerin is a guy that has been in the red zone, and has been in critical areas on the field and they trust him with the football being able to run it and throw it, so he’s a dual threat guy as well,” Sumlin said.
