TUPELO, MISS. (WCBI) – Students at a Tupelo School joined millions of children worldwide in a visual, public statement about peace.
It’s part of a project called “Pinwheels for Peace” and this morning, Milam social studies students planted pinwheels they created, of all shapes and sizes.
The project was created as a way for youngsters to express their feelings about peace, tolerance and living in harmony with others.
“I read about it online and thought that this would be a great way for Milam to work together for something that this world needs more of, which is peace,” said Milam Art Teacher Kim Fandel.
The pinwheels will be on display for as long as the weather allows.
