PONTOTOC, Miss. (WCBI) — Hunter Jolly is a multi-sport athlete for South Pontotoc High School. He’s one of the top students in his class and in numerous academic clubs. Now the senior is winding down his last few days in high school in the classroom on the diamond before he goes off to college in the fall.
Hunter Jolly will soon to be finishing out his senior year at South Pontotoc High School. He’s been a force on the football field and baseball field over the last five years for the Cougars and been on the power lifting team for the last two years. Head Football Coach Michael Bradley and Baseball Coach Bryan Buckner have seen his leadership that he’s brought to both teams.
“Hunter’s a great young man. It’s an honor an a privilege to coach young people like that. He’s got great character. He’s a hard worker. Always giving an hundred percent on the field. Like I said it’s just a pleasure to coach young people like that,” said Head Football Coach Michael Bradley.
“He’s a strong kid and he has good speed for his size. He’s a multi-sport athlete. You know a guy that can go from the football field, to the power lifting, to baseball. You know he provides power for our team and he can be successful in anything he sets his mine to,” said Head Baseball Coach Bryan Buckner.
One of his biggest supporters that’s always been by his side and been there for him is his mother Brenda Jolly.
“It’s been an amazing ride with a sports child. His love of being compassion with football, but baseball too. He was born to play sports. It’s his love. It’s his compassion. It’s his life. We’ve enjoyed this ride with him. I can not believe he’s a senior, but it’s been an amazing ride of life with a sports life with him,” said Mother Brenda Jolly.
Jolly also thanks his mom and dad for the support and being there for him.
“I just love my mom. She means everything to me. Both my mom and dad. I just thank them for their support and coming to my games and stuff. I’m just so blessed to have parents that support me in everything I do,” Hunter Jolly said.
