Video: Stokes-Beard Celebrates Black History Month

COLUMBUS, Miss. (WCBI) — Students at Stokes-Beard Technology and Communication Magnet School celebrated Black History Month by showcasing their talents. Fellow students and parents were on hand as the youngsters performed the works of African American musicians, song-writers,authors, poets, and statesmen.
The program featured speeches by Martin Luther King Junior and Malcolm X. The music of Motown and Whitney Houston. And the poetry of Langston Hughes and Maya Angelou. The program wrapped up the school’s observance of Black History Month.
