Video: Steel Dynamics General Manager Emphasizes Plant’s Commitment to the Area

COLUMBUS, Miss. (WCBI) -They’ve been in town for about 5 months, but Steel Dynamics is invested in the success of the area economy. That was the message from the General Manager of the Columbus Plant. Madhu Ranade was the featured speaker at the Columbus Exchange Club.

Steel Dynamics purchased the former Severstal steel mill late last year, and they have been working to build on the the plant’s success.

“How it contributes to the overall company. And a little bit of what are our plans going forward to make Columbus a very profitable, safe business, and a strong contributor to the community.”

Steel Dynamics is based in Indiana and had sales of nearly 9 billion dollars in 2014.
