Video: Statewide Tobacco Prevention Program Comes To Starkville
STARKVILLE, Miss. (WCBI) – A statewide tobacco prevention program brought its message to Starkville Monday.
The goal is to educate young boys and girls about the dangers of all tobacco use, particularly smoking.
Generation FREE is a Mississippi State Department of Health youth-led program. One of the focuses today is on the dangers of vaping.
The state health department says tobacco claims more than 5,000 lives each year in Mississippi. About 15 percent of high school students in the state smoke.
